D-2 VISA

The D-2 visa offers residence authorization to foreigners who want to establish commercial activity on the country, having an agreement, or a written proposition of a liberal profession service contract, and being qualified to practice independent activity, if necessary.

D-7 VISA

This one is a great opportunity for retired people, and for using your profits. Among the requisites needed to register for D-7 visa, there is on the requirement the corroboration that the petitioner receives the minimum amount required by law to take up residence in Portugal, guaranteed for a time not inferior to 12 months. The minimum amount necessary changes according to the number of people in the family of the petitioner, and is accounted on the following terms:

A. First adult (applicant): 100% of the current minimum wage (¢557) = ¢6.684/year;
B. Second adult: 50% of the current minimum wage (¢279,5) = ¢3.342/year;
C. Each children, and adolescents under 18 years, and adults working for the applicant: 30% of the current minimum wage (¢167,1) = ¢2.005,2/year.

GOLD VISA

The Gold Visa can be requested by citizens of any non-european nationality, as long as he/she fulfills one or more of the requirements:


 Open a company in Portugal:
for the investors that are not interested on buying real estate, one option is to open a company that creates at least 10 direct jobs with contract. A minimum investment is not required.

  Financial investment: Investment of at least 1 million euros on the financial market.

  Investment on small or medium companies: Investments on specific funds, destined to the capitalization of small and medium size companies, become eligible with investments from 500.000 euros.

  Scientific studies: investment of at least 350.000 euros in scientific studies.

  Artistic production, preservation or conservation of the cultural heritage: investment of 250.000 euros in artistic production and preservation or conservation of the cultural patrimony.

GENERAL RULES OF THE PORTUGAL GOLDEN VISA

• Any of the options above presupposes a minimum period of 5 years.
• The Golden Visa is guaranteed for a period of one year, and then renewed for two successive two year periods. After this period, the Portuguese nationality is awarded.
• Annual permanence of at least seven days in Portugal.
• In all cases, the invested money cannot be financed.
